Nordic Countries Pavilion announces artists for the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia
Klara Kristalova, Benjamin Orlow and Tori Wrånes selected to present their works at the Nordic Countries Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. The exhibition will be curated by Kiasma’s Chief Curator, Anna Mustonen, and commissioned by Kiasma in collaboration with Moderna Museet, Sweden, and OCA – Office for Contemporary Art Norway.
Sharing Experiences: Nikhil Vettukattil about his residency at Artica Svalbard
We had the pleasure of speaking with Nikhil Vettukattil about his artist residency at Artica Svalbard in Longyearbyen during the autumn of 2023. OCA is one of the key partners of Artica Svalbard who offer one of the northernmost artist residency programmes in the world. During his time in Longyearbyen, Vettukattil worked on a project examining food systems, the 'Nordic diet', and the effects of climate change in the context of extreme environments.

Sharing Experiences: Lesia Vasylchenko on her upcoming solo exhibition ‘Children of Infinity’ at Adiacenze in Bologna
We had the pleasure of visiting artist Lesia Vasylchenko in her studio at Fossekleiva Kultursenter in Berger. Her upcoming solo exhibition ‘Children of Infinity’ will be opening at Adiacenze in Bologna, Italy, on 7 February, 2025. Supported by OCA through our International Support scheme, the exhibition will run until 2 March, 2025.
Sharing Experiences: Damla Kilickiran about creating Dark Entries and International Support
We were fortunate to visit Damla Kilickiran’s studio while she was working on her latest sculpture, Dark Entries, which will soon be exhibited at Lund Konsthall. The group exhibition, Near to the Wild Heart, opens on 21 December 2024 and runs until 16 March 2025.
